And because Halloween isn't the only time you should want to do scary Toronto activities, this list includes a number of scary things your can do in Toronto throughout the year!

Alone in the Dark - The Village
Black Creek Pioneer Village is a great cultural and historical stop for most Toronto visitors. However, few realise that once the sun goes down Black Creek Nightlife begins.
Alone in the Dark - The Village is a walking tour, hosted by The Haunted Walk, featuring some very creepy architecture and ghost stories. The twist? This walk allows you to actually investigate the haunted buildings in small groups and in the dark.
Attend a seance
Jaymes White performs recreations of seances in the Toronto area. The locations change year to year (as the cursed buildings are often slated for demolition), but this is a truly frightening experience that horror aficionados need to try.
Previous locations of the Jaymes White seance have included The Howland Inn and Isabella Street.
Martino Manor
Martino Manor is one of the most popular haunted house attractions in Toronto. It only operates during the lead-up to Halloween but is a great option for those that like frights at every turn!
Toronto's Self-Guided Ghost Walk
Ghost tours are scary...but you know what's scarier? Doing them by yourself. In the dark of night. The Toronto Ghosts & Hauntings Research Society has provided a self-guided ghost walk in Toronto.
Legends of Horror
Each year the Casa Loma grounds are transformed into a hellscape of horror. Out of all the "walkthrough horror" experiences, this is our favorite. Great production value, committed actors, and not a screamfest that's looking to bludgeon your senses (I'm looking at you, Screemers).
Do you like scary movies
Catch a classic horror movie at Revue Cinema's Nightmare Alley. The screening series goes on throughout the year and is a great way to watch a horror film in Toronto.
Toronto After Dark Film Festival
If you're looking for newer big screen frights, the Toronto After Dark Film Festival takes place in the lead up to October 31st every year. They feature a selection of commercial and indie projects that are perfect for horror movie buffs.
Escape the Ghost Ship
Ghosts? Check. Pirates? Check. Jump into this spooky escape game from PirateLife and Secret City. You'll be sailing the dark, murky waters of Lake Ontario while trying to escape a terrifying fate. Escape the Ghost Ship is perfect for groups.
A haunted lighthouse
Gibraltor Point Lighthouse is known as one of Toronto's most haunted locations. While you're no longer allowed to enter this creepy hexagonal lighthouse, you can walk around it and take in the lonely, spooky atmosphere at night. Be warned, you'll be on the Toronto Islands, and if you stay too late, you might not find a ferry to bring you back!
How many of these scary Toronto activities have you already checked out? Do you recommend any other scary things to do in Toronto?
