If you've ever wanted to walk into a grocery store and find yourself in another dimension, Omega Mart by Meow Wolf in Las Vegas is here to make that happen. From the outside, it looks like an oddly cheerful supermarket. Inside, it's… well, it's everything your brain can't quite process.
This isn't just an art exhibit. It's an interactive, immersive, slightly surreal choose-your-own-adventure wrapped in bright neon packaging. It's part sci-fi mystery, part Instagram paradise, part "Wait… what is happening?"
We spent hours exploring, touching everything we were allowed to, and ducking in and out of portals disguised as refrigerators and vending machines. Here's our full review, complete with tips, highlights, and all the moments that made us question reality.

What Is Omega Mart?
Omega Mart is the brainchild of Meow Wolf, an arts and entertainment company known for immersive worlds that blend storytelling, visual art, and interactivity. Imagine a supermarket designed by a dream you once had after eating questionable sushi.
On the surface, it's a perfectly ordinary (though hilariously offbeat) grocery store: shelves of products, frozen food aisles, fresh produce. But look closer - the products are bizarre, the staff may or may not be in character, and… is that a door inside the freezer?
Spoiler: yes. And it leads somewhere incredible.

Highlights
The "Products"
The first thing you'll notice is that everything on the shelves is 'for sale'… but also not quite right.
- Tattoo Chicken - a whole raw chicken covered in tattoo art.
- Nut Free Salted Peanuts - "now without peanuts."
- Plausible Deniability Laundry Detergent - for… reasons.
Every product is an artwork in itself, created by independent artists. You can actually buy most of them. Prices range from $5 postcards to $60 shirts to $200 original pieces.
The Secret Entrances
Hidden portals are everywhere. Step inside a fridge, and you might find yourself in a glowing alien forest. Crawl through a tunnel, and suddenly you're in a room of swirling lights.
Tip: Don't just look for doors. Some entrances are disguised as vending machines, supply closets, or random pieces of furniture. And if you ever feel like you "oh so close", look for a staff member. They're walking around wearing lab coats and are in-character, but will often gently guide you in an interesting direction.
The Storyline
There's a whole plot behind Omega Mart, involving a mysterious corporation called Dramcorp, missing employees, and a strange substance called Source. You can explore purely for the visuals, or dig into the clues, videos, and hidden rooms to uncover the story.
If you want the full narrative, pick up an Omega Access Card at the start. It lets you "clock in" at terminals, unlock story videos, and piece together the corporate conspiracy.
The Multiverse Rooms
Some of the most jaw-dropping spaces we found:
- Projected Desert - shifting dunes under a starry sky.
- The Factory - machinery whirring, pipes humming, glowing liquids in tanks.
- The Forest - bioluminescent mushrooms and plants you can touch.
- Light Tunnel - a kaleidoscope of changing colors and sound.
The Photo Opportunities
Omega Mart is a photographer's playground. Neon colors, surreal props, interactive lighting - it's almost impossible to take a bad shot here. Or to be completely honest, the trippy lighting means that photography can sometimes be challenging, but is always interesting.

Best Spots for Photos:
- The soda aisle with rainbow lighting.
- The glowing plant room.
- The tunnel of mirrors.
- The fridge door entrance (especially when someone is just stepping through).
Who Should Skip Omega Mart?
Honestly, almost no one. But if you:
- Hate bright lights or loud noises
- Don't enjoy interactive art
- Need a fully linear experience with clear instructions
…then Omega Mart might not be your thing. For everyone else, it's a must.
Tips
Buy Tickets in Advance
They sell out, especially on weekends and holidays. AREA15 also charges for parking during peak hours, so budget extra time and money. Opt for these Skip-the-Line tickets before entering for the best value.
Wear Comfortable Clothes
You'll be climbing, crawling (briefly, and only if you want to), and bending into odd angles if you want to find all the hidden spots. Avoid short skirts, high heels, or anything you can't move in.
Take Your Time
It's tempting to rush through, but the magic is in the details. Read the labels on products, listen to background audio, and peek into every corner and truly get lost in the mysteries of this fantastical spot.
Follow the Staff's Lead
Employees stay in character, and they'll often drop hints if you seem curious. Ask playful questions - you might get a clue to a hidden entrance.
Consider a Second Visit
It's easy to miss rooms on your first trip. And if you're looking to completely uncover the mystery and discover all the clues, you'll be there for a long time. Consider breaking it into 2 visits (though this does mean you'd have to buy a second ticket).
Our Personal Experience
We walked into Omega Mart expecting quirky. We walked out feeling like we'd been inside a Stranger Things-induced fever dream (in a good way).
At one point, I found myself inside a vending machine. A few minutes later, I was standing in an alien meadow while my wife disappeared around a corner into a series of strange testing rooms.
The story? We won't spoil it for you here. But it's a suitably dramatic sci-fi mindbender.
The best part? Watching other visitors discover things they'd missed earlier. Or enthusiastic kids running up to us asking for help after somehow realizing we were a little further along the mystery than they were.
By the end of our visit, our camera roll looked like Salvador Dali had one too many Red Bulls.
Omega Mart vs Other Meow Wolf Experiences
If you've been to Meow Wolf's other installations (Santa Fe, Denver, or Grapevine), you'll recognize the same "story + art playground" style. Omega Mart stands out because of its grocery store front and the sheer scale of its industrial backrooms.
In short: It's bigger, weirder, and more Vegas.
Food & Drink at AREA15
After Omega Mart, you can grab a bite right inside AREA15 - there's everything from cocktails in a glowing bar to a full food court.
If you want something themed, head to The Beast by Todd English for over-the-top burgers, nachos, and BBQ.

Omega Mart Las Vegas - Final Verdict
This is one of the most creative, ambitious, and downright fun things you can do in Las Vegas that doesn't involve The Sphere, slot machines, or Cirque du Soleil. Whether you're a hardcore Meow Wolf fan, an art lover, or just looking for a break from the Strip, Omega Mart is worth every penny.
Just… keep an eye on those avocados. They might be watching you.
